Paula Patton is an actress and producer best known for her roles as a lead actress in the action movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the drama film Precious. Born into a middle-class family in Los Angeles, she harboured huge dreams when she was a kid. She was raised by a mother, who was a fan of films. Paula was active in her school's co-curricular activities and was particularly drawn to drama. She was a member of her class and was a part of the school's plays. She acted in many high school plays at Hamilton Magnet Arts High School and decided to pursue acting as her career. In a summer program offered by the University of Southern California, she was awe-inspiring there. She won a PBS project for three months to shoot documentary films. Following the successful completion of the assignment, she began working as an assistant in the production of TV documentaries. Then she began producing documentaries. The work was enjoyable however, she always wanted to pursue a career as an actor. She started her career in acting with a role as Will Smith's co-star on romance comedy Hitch. Over the past few years she's been in a variety of productions and films.
