Zoe Saldana's parents, Asalia And Aridio Saldana, were born the 19th of June 1977 in Passaic New Jersey. Both her parents have both been Puerto Ricans. Her mother is Puerto Rican as is her father, Dominican. Her family and she relocated to the Dominican Republic at the age of 10 where they would stay for the rest of seven years. As they remained in the country, Zoe discovered a keen interest in performance dance and started her studies at the world-class ECOS Espacio de Danza Dance Academy where she learned ballet as well as other dance forms.
