April Ross
April Ross has won more than one Olympic gold medal. Ross is among the few women beach volleyball athletes to be able to do so. Alix Klineman is a new Olympian and is set to join the team in Tokyo. But more than that, Ross hopes to win her very first Olympic gold. With her age of 39, this may be her final opportunity to claim the Olympic gold. The athlete is optimistic she'll be successful in achieving top honours. Ross was reported in NBC Boston as saying that when you perform at your very highest, and even perform well, you will win the gold. This is also a matter of chance. Ross was born in California in Costa Mesa, California in 1982. She grew up in Costa Mesa with her father, mother and younger sister. In Newport Harbor High School, she was a participant in many activities. Her pre-athletic career comprised indoor volleyball, as well as basketball as well as running and track. She stood out however in this sport. In her time at high school, she played middle blocker outside setter and hitter at the tennis court per her college bio. To honor her achievements she was awarded the Gatorade Award for the National Player of 1999. In 2000, she was named Orange County Athlete of the Year for volleyball. Ross Klineman and Ross may be working on a project in the year 2017, however Ross had already been a seasoned athlete at the beach prior to when they came together. In reality, she was a winner of numerous major events using two partners, one of which is the volleyball legend. The pair teamed with Jennifer Kessy from 2007-2013, and was also Klineman's personal trainer. Kessy was Ross's partner on the 2009 World Championships. At the 2012 Olympic Games, they won the gold medal. Misty May Treanor and Kerri Jennings the legendary team who was the winners of the 2012 Olympics in London, beat their opponents to claim the gold. Ross Jennings took over for May-Treanor after she had retired. Both went on to win the bronze beach volleyball trophy at Rio Olympics 2016 with Walsh Jennings. Ross started her college time with the Trojans at USC after her high school days. This was years before Ross hit the beach, and then became a professional. Her career was a success in the college. In 2000, as a freshman Her performance was rewarded with the Pac-10 and NCAA Freshman-of-the-Year honors. The team also saw her help in helping the Trojans reach into the Final Four. In her sophomore year, she was devastated by a personal setback, but she was able to repeat as an All-American. During her final two seasons as a member of the Trojans team the team was led to victories by winning successive national titles. The achievements of each individual have established her as a volleyball legend. She was awarded the Honda Sports Award 2003-04 for the nation's best female collegiate player. Ross was who was a USC international relations student, was a renowned volleyball player. Margie Ross did not see her daughter make it to the top of beach volleyball. Ross's mother passed away from breast carcinoma in 2001. Ross had just become an undergraduate student in the second year at USC. In the aftermath, Ross continues to be close to her deceased parent. Margie remains an inspiration on and off at the beach.
